Pre-Order Yours Today!

Just kidding--I won't be trying to influence anyone to buy my book, but if you do want to buy it, it's now available for pre-order! It won't actually be in stores until November 3, but sometimes places offer a discounted pre-order price. The book can be found at barnesandnoble.com, amazon.com, and arcadiapublishing.com. Hooray! I am very excited that the release date is approaching. I even have my own publicist. How cool is that?

Today the Museum of Church History and Art in Salt Lake called and offered me a job writing the historical guide for missionaries at the Liberty Jail historic site in Missouri! That would be my dream come true, but unfortunately I had to turn them down :-( The problem is that the timing is all wrong. I would just be hired as an intern, and though it would pay well, I wouldn't have benefits or anything. I would take it in a heartbeat, but since I'm getting married in October, I guess it wouldn't be a good idea to have Greg move out here without having a job with benefits. So for now we'll need to go back to Illinois where he does have a job, I'll finish my school internship with the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency (if IHPA survives Blago's budget cuts), and then maybe we can find something back out here in the near future. The man I talked with today said that they will be doing other historic site manuals in the future, and there is a possibility that they could hire me next year. We'll see what happens.
