Happy New Year!

Happy 2009!!! This is going to be a great year. Yesterday evening Greg and I tried to take a New Year's Eve self portrait with Abraham Lincoln, but the background was a little dark. Abe and Mary are back there though. We had a wonderful evening in Springfield. We ate dinner at this cool place called Robbie's which is located on the Old State Capitol square. We were going to go to the 1850s ball at the Lincoln Museum, but the "First Night" buttons required to get into the ball were ridiculously expensive, so we decided to head home instead and have our own New Year's Eve party watching "An American Carol." Good times. For the first time in recent history, I was not able to stay awake until the clock struck 12! I used to be able to stay up until all hours of the night without batting an eye, but you'll be happy to know that my sleeping habits have greatly improved.

Today we went to see another house here in Athens, and it was S-C-A-R-Y! It is almost $10,000 more expensive than the Mudd house, and it has about 10,000 more problems. It did have a cool palm tree growing out of the floor in the back room.
